2026 Fall: CCU Buddy Program

Welcome to join the CCU Buddy Program for international students!

If you are interested in cultural exchange and enjoy helping others, we warmly welcome you to become a buddy for new international students.

At the end of the program, outstanding buddies will be selected based on their participation and support throughout the semester, and will receive scholarships of several thousand NTD.

📌Eligibility:

• Must be an enrolled student at CCU in the 2026 Fall semester (September 2026). Students of all genders and departments are welcome to apply.
• Must be able to stay in touch with international students via email and Line before the semester begins and be available on campus before September to assist arriving international students.
• From September to October 2026, must be able to accompany international students, helping them familiarize with the campus, complete course selection, registration, and health checks for new students. 
• You are required to consistently accompany and support international freshmen throughout the entire first semester of the 115th academic year ( September 2026 to January 2027 ). This includes helping them with academic matters, daily life, and overall adjustment, while actively building friendly interactions and a trusting relationship. This role is a semester-long commitment, not a short-term assignment limited to September and October. Participants may also attend training sessions and activities.

❗Notes:

1. We are recruiting buddies for both degree and exchange students. Responsibilities vary by student type and will be explained after selection. Pairings with international students will be assigned randomly and cannot be chosen.
2. Buddies are required to start contacting their assigned international students before they arrive in Taiwan.
3. The Office of International Affairs will provide all necessary administrative information; buddies just need to assist students in understanding and completing the tasks.
4. To ensure the quality and effectiveness of the buddy system, we have a selection and elimination mechanism. If a buddy's performance does not meet the expected standards, they may not be able to continue in the role. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. 
5. During the initial contact period (September–October), please check your LINE and email daily to avoid missing messages from international students, and remember to check your spam folder.
6. OIA will provide Buddy certificates as a reward at the end of the semester.

🕒 Important Event Reminders:

• June 1–12: Buddy Interview and Training Period – In-person or online sessions arranged by the OIA  

• First Day of Semester: New Student Registration - Buddies must attend together with new students.

• First Week of Semester: New Student Orientation - Buddies must attend together with new students. 

📅Recruitment Period: Registration open until full

📞Interviews & Training Time: Conducted by OIA through scheduled in-person or online interviews between June 1 and June 12.
