Taiwan Comprehensive University System (TCUS) Scholarship for Top Foreign Degree-Seeking Students

 

Eligibility

1. Students must have achieved a grade point average (GPA) of Excellent or above for two consecutive semesters while enrolled in the same academic system. (Rank in the top 30% of the class in the semester for undergraduate students; 80 points for graduate students).
2. Only those who are enrolled pursuant to the Regulations Regarding International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan are eligible to apply. Additionally, those holding an Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) for work may not apply.

3. One letter of recommendation (undergraduate students must provide a letter of recommendation from their lecturer; graduate students must provide a letter of recommendation from their advisor)

Scholarship Amount and Quota

1. The scholarship can only be received once while in the same academic system.
2. The scholarship amount is NT$20,000 per person each time.
3. Number of Awardees: There are 10 scholarships for undergraduate students, 5 for graduate students, and 5 for doctoral students. The quota will be flexibly adjusted based on the funding of the current year, and the awardee quotas for different academic systems can be transferred between them.
4. Recipients of this scholarship may also receive other scholarships both within and outside the university.

Review Process

The Vice Presidents for International Affairs of each university in TCUS will serve as co-conveners and organize a Review Committee. The Office of International Affairs of the responsible university will conduct an initial review based on the relevant documents provided by the applicant, which will then be submitted to the Review Committee for corroboration before the grant is awarded. After the awardee list is approved, it will be submitted to the Executive Committee of TCUS for reference.
