The “2026 Explore Taiwan 120h – We Farm, We Grow,” jointly organized by the CTCI Education Foundation and the Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy, is now open for applications.

Now entering its 12th year, this program is one of Taiwan’s most representative youth sustainability exploration initiatives. Its mission is to enhance university students’ understanding and practice of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through five days of immersive, nationwide field exploration, inspiring sustainable thinking and innovative action.

🌱 Program Features

This popular program, now in its 11th edition for university students in Taiwan (including international exchange students), focuses on deepening participants’ understanding of how the 17 UN SDGs are implemented locally. In addition to enjoying in-depth travel experiences, students will strengthen their awareness of sustainability and environmental responsibility.

Selected teams will design a meaningful 5-day itinerary combining six official designated sites and at least six self-selected locations related to the 17 SDGs, creating a complete travel route with strong sustainability value.

A total of 12 teams will be selected. Each participating member will receive NT$7,000 to support travel, accommodation, and meal expenses during the five-day exploration. The championship team will win a NT$100,000 prize!

📍 Theme of the Year: “Safe and Sustainable Agri-Food”

This year, the program features six designated exploration sites, allowing participants to experience Taiwan’s sustainable food and agriculture practices firsthand:

• CTCI Group Second Headquarters (Taipei)
• Awesome Young Smart Farm (Taoyuan)
• Agricultural Research and Extension Station (Shulin, Taoyuan)
• Fongshan Water Resource Center (Kaohsiung)
• Wushantou Reservoir (Tainan)
• World Vegetable Center (Tainan)

🎓 Eligibility

Form a team of four students from the same university.
Each team must include:
• One Taiwanese student (team leader and main contact), and
• Three international students of different nationalities.
(Each of the four team members must hold a different nationality.)

🎓 Awards & Funding

(Total prize pool: NT$894,000)
• 12 finalist teams: Each member receives NT$7,000
• Champion team: NT$100,000 prize
• Free registration, 5-day sustainability adventure, and a chance to broaden your global vision
