Application Documents:

  • The highest-level degree diploma 
    1. For those students who are going to graduate and have not got the diploma will be required to submit the provisional graduation certificate.
    2. The diploma should have an authorized stamp from school, clearly state the applicant’s passport name and graduate department.
    3. If the school cannot issue the official Chinese or English diploma or graduation certificate, please submit the Chinese/English translation as well.
    4. If the diploma has no authorized stamp, the diploma and the translation version(if have) will be required to be authenticated by the Taiwan Embassy or Taiwan Representative Office in or near the applicant's country.
       
  • The highest degree's full transcript of records
  1. Applying for Bachelor’s program: high school graduation (or higher) / Applying for Master’s program: Obtained Bachelor's (or higher) Degree /  Applying for Ph.D’s program: Obtained Master (or higher) Degree.
  2. The  transcripts should have an authorized stamp from school, clearly state the applicant’s passport name, graduate department and record of each semester.
  3. If the school cannot issue the official Chinese or English diploma or graduation certificate, please submit the Chinese/English translation as well.
  4.  If the  transcripts  have no authorized stamp, the transcripts  and the translation version(if have) will be required to be authenticated by the Taiwan Embassy or Taiwan Representative Office in or near the applicant's country.
  • Language proficiency certificate (please refer to each department/program's required document)
  1.  Apply for English Taught Programs, an English proficiency certificate at the CEFR level B1 (or above) is required.
  2.  Apply for not Entirely English Program, a Chinese proficiency certificate at the CEFR level A2 (or above) is required.
  3. The language proficiency required by each department may vary. 
  • Financial statement
    1.  A bank statement (Sample-of-Financial-Statement)with authorized bank stamp/ signature; or a scanned bank book document with authorized bank stamp will be required. 
    2. The scanned bank book document should clearly state account balance, the applicant passport full name, and Statement Issuance Date should within a year.
    3. If the bank account is not under the applicant’s name or does not have sufficient funds, a signed statement from the account holder is also required, stating the holder’s relationship with the applicant (the relationship will be required family members like father, mother, brother, etc) and guaranteeing to cover the applicant’s expenses in Taiwan.
  • Recommendation letter x 2
    1. Two recommendation letters both require a date within a year and handwritten signature from the referee
  • Statement of Purpose (Chinese or English)
  • Declaration of Nationality Form (Declaration-of-Nationality)
    1. The English translation block is required to be filed in, please tick the  box  a,b or c in articles 5 and 6 that match the applicant's declaration purpose. 
    2. The original handwritten  signature is required at the end of the form.
  • Passport (if available)
  • Taiwan Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) (if available)

***If you do not submit the required documents according to your applying department/program, the application will be viewed as an incomplete application. Therefore, please make sure that your uploading documents have met all the requirements.
