the CCU scholarship for Spring 2025

Dear Students,

The CCU scholarship is open for applications from October 9 to November 15.

If you would like to apply for CCU scholarship, please submit the following required documents,
1. The application form;
2. Attachment 1 (to be filled out by your department office);
3. Attachment 2 (this is only required for students who have been evaluated by their department to take Chinese Courses. However, some graduate and PhD students may apply for exemption from Chinese courses under the official permission granted by the department committees or advisors. The International Student Profile Section should be filled out by the student first. Then, this attachment will be submitted to the Language Center by the OIA and completed by the Language Center);
4. Transcript of the last semester (Spring 2024).
4/1 For Master or Ph.D students who do not have a Spring 2024 transcript and are currently in the process of writing their thesis, you may submit a recommendation letter from your adviser, along with a list of research accomplishments (including research proposal).
4/2 For applicates with a Spring 2024 transcript, please check your credit hours and your grades.
PhD and postgraduate students must complete at least four credit hours with an average course grade of over 75 in previous semester. Undergraduate students must complete at least eight credit hours with an average course grade of over 65 in previous semester.
The average course grades from the previous semester must be provided for evaluation. Each college will decide how to grant the scholarship package to qualified students based on their academic performance.

Please be reminded that the maximum scholarship duration for Undergraduate students is four years (eight semesters). However, undergraduate students who extend their studies due to a double major may apply for an exception in their fifth year. The maximum scholarship duration for master’s students is two years (four semesters). In exception cases, students may apply for a third year by submitting a recommendation letter from their academic adviser and research achievements (including thesis progress and published work). The maximum scholarship period for the doctoral students is seven years (fourteen semesters).

All applicants for the CCU scholarship must submit the required documents to the OIA no later than 17:00 on November 15, 2024. If we do not receive your application by that day, we will assume that you do not intend to apply for this scholarship. Additionally, please submit the required documents to the CCU scholarship Box, which is located at the front desk of the OIA. Afterward, the OIA staff will send you an email confirming the acceptance of your scholarship application.
