National Chung Cheng University Implementation Policy of the Scholoarship Award for International Students

National Chung Cheng University (hereinafter referred to as the University) hereby enacts the Policy in accordance with Article 21 of the "National Chung Cheng University Guidelines on Governing the Enrollment of International Students", in order to promote the globalization of the University and recruit excellent international students in pursuit of an internationalized university

The scholarship amount

(1) Partial or total exemption of tuition and credit fees.

(2) Partial or total exemption of miscellaneous fees.

(3) Exemption from on-campus accommodation fees. Students who have withdrawn from the dormitory voluntarily, shall not be compensated by any amount.

(4) Living stipend.

Application qualifications

- International students who apply for admission to the University (hereinafter referred to as "freshmen") could submit this scholarship application

**Other government scholarships that cannot be concurrently received

= International students with an official enrollment status in the University (hereinafter referred to as "on campus students"):

(1) PhD and postgraduate students have to complete at least four credit hours with an average course grade of over 75 in previous semester. Undergraduate students have to complete at least eight credit hours with an average course grade of over 65 in previous semester. Above mentioned average course grade of the previous semester shall be provided for evaluation. According to the academic performance, each college shall make a decision on how to grant the scholarship package for qualified students.

(2) Students who do not have an average course grade of the previous semester, and is currently in the process of writing their thesis for the PhD or Master program, have to provide recommendation letters from their advisors, along with a list of their research accomplishments (including thesis proposals and published papers).

(3) Students must have good conduct and no rule violation record.

Application Deadlines and Documents

1. Freshmen: In accordance with the timetable of the University's "International Students' Application for Admission".

2. On campus international students:

Students have to provide:

(a). Attachments. However, under the official permission proved by the department committees or the advisors, some of the Graduate and Ph.D. students may apply Chinese courses exemption.

(b). A transcript of the previous semester

Review Process of University Scholarship Awards

Each college shall evaluate the applicants in accordance with the college regulations and the provisions for the University Scholarship Awards. The awarded student and the corresponding scholarship packages shall be reported to the University's Academic Exchange Commission and the Office of International Affairs for affirmation

List of international students with scholarship awards

The list of international students with scholarship awards will be announced, along with the enrollment notice sent to the freshmen. For the enrolled international students, it will be announced on the website of Office of International Affairs before the end of the semester and the awarded students will be notified individually.
