2026 Taiwan Semiconductor Career Day Opens at CCU, Connecting Semiconductor Companies with Global Talent

To assist international students and overseas professionals in gaining a deeper understanding of Taiwan’s semiconductor industry trends and expanding their career opportunities in Taiwan, the Industrial Development Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs, held the “2026 Taiwan Semiconductor Career Day” at National Chung Cheng University on June 5 under the “Semiconductor International Collaboration and Innovation Empowerment Program(半導體國際連結創新賦能計畫)”

The event brought leading semiconductor companies to campus for recruitment and industry exchange, attracting more than 100 international talents from the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Haiti, Pakistan, and other countries. In addition to students from National Chung Cheng University, international students from nearby institutions, including National Yunlin University of Science and Technology and National Formosa University, were also invited to take part in the event.

A total of five major semiconductor companies participated in the career day, including:
* Himax (奇景光電)
* Winbond (華邦電子)
* CHIPBOND (頎邦科技)
* ASE (日月光半導體)
* SPIL (矽品精密)
During the event, participating companies introduced their corporate development, global operations, and talent needs, while sharing information on diverse job opportunities in areas such as IC design, software and firmware development, equipment engineering, process engineering, test engineering, manufacturing management, and semiconductor packaging and testing.

The career day also featured face-to-face networking sessions and one-on-one interviews, providing international students with direct access to company representatives. Through these exchanges, students gained a clearer understanding of job responsibilities, career development pathways, and workplace expectations. Participants were also able to submit their résumés on site, creating valuable opportunities for career matching and further enhancing their prospects for employment in Taiwan.

Company representatives noted that, in addition to language proficiency, international talents are encouraged to emphasize how their academic and professional backgrounds align with the positions they are applying for. As Taiwan’s semiconductor companies continue to expand their global presence, cross-cultural adaptability, international communication skills, and diverse work experiences are becoming increasingly important advantages for international students entering the industry.

National Chung Cheng University has long been committed to the cultivation of international talent. By connecting industry resources with international student communities, the university continues to support international students in exploring career development opportunities in Taiwan after graduation. The “2026 Taiwan Semiconductor Career Day” not only provided a platform for companies to recruit outstanding international talent, but also highlighted Taiwan’s semiconductor industry’s strong demand for global professionals and its growing emphasis on international talent development.
